Figuranten is the first exhibition by Max consisting of his own work. It is currently shown at Crew de la Crema in Amsterdam. Figuranten is about being the center of your own life and acknowledging that everyone around you has that same experience. Most people you only see once, and their life happens out of sight. Unseen, but not unimportant.
It is about realizing, while standing on a busy morning ferry, that there are more individuals around you than you will ever get to know, and they all have a life as complex and beautiful as yours.
